On September 15 2023, the European Union has sanctioned 10 parties under the Iran Sanctions Regime.
See Press Release from Council of the EU on Sep 15 2023:
“Iran: Council lists four more individuals and six entities over serious human rights violations”
These sanctions list changes were published in the EU Journal (see details below) – and are therefore binding. However, three days later, on September 18, the newly sanctioned parties are still not reflected in the electronic version of the EU Sanctions List, which is used by a number of screening providers and end users.
[ UPDATE 18.09.2023 16:09 CET: Sanctions List Updates from Sep 15 2023 are now reflected in machine readable EU Sanctions List. ]
Keep in mind that the content in the EU Journal is binding – independent from the availability of the list updates in provided machine readable list formats.
Check carefully if these new changes are implemented in your screening system.
